You face a sea of faces, with the hope of getting your information across in an interesting way; your hands sweat and your mouth goes dry, your knees shake and a quiver affects your voice, your heart races and you get butterflies in your stomach, you may feel or be sick.
You have gone into ‘fight or flight’ mode and there’s nowhere to run. Fear of Public Speaking affects many people and it not something most of us are taught to cope with.

Public Speaking
Hypnotherapy & Fear of Public Speaking
The fear is caused by thoughts and self-talk. You may think that your audience are expecting you to be inspiring, exciting, or humorous. You may tell yourself that you will make a fool of yourself. There is nothing real to be afraid of but you feel it anyway. With hypnosis we can go to the source of that self talk, the subconscious, and transform its messages.
Imagine how much you could look forward to a chance to speak in front of people, whether it is work colleagues or strangers, if your thoughts were that of enjoyment in the chance to give your audience something – your information, your time, your knowledge – your gift to them. Imagine feeling calm, relaxed and confident.
Nerves and butterflies are fine - they're a physical sign that you're mentally ready and eager. You have to get the butterflies to fly in formation, that's the trick.
